Things I enjoy

Some things I enjoy in these last days of Summer, until the next week when I emerge myself into work completely:

-making simple and silly collage, just for fun:

-going for a refreshing drink at the local equestrian club:

-seeing colorful beach umbrellas on people's balconies:

-making raspberry pie (yum!):

-having a cup of delicious strawberry/ vanilla tea in the late afternoon:

I like it dirty

I like making dirty textures to add to my photos, that is.
So, to get that perfect filthy, grungy texture layer I've been craving to add to my pics I took a piece of glass and smeared some gouache paint over it. Then I put the glass on a light box to get a source of light (so I don't have to use flash when photographing textures) and to create an illusion of textures being semi-transparent.

Here are some samples of textures I made. I won't use them all on photos, because some of them are, well, just too dirty, but maybe they will come in handy when working on some illustration or digital painting.
