I've been drawing a lot of bunny rabbits in lately and my friend accused me of mixing up holidays. "Why are you drawing bunnies? It's not Easter, you know?", he said.

Illustration Friday: Rambunctious

So, this week the word on Illustration Friday is rambunctious. Since I'm non-native English speaker I had to look it up in dictionary. And my dictionary said it means: "cheerful in a lively, noisy way".
Still, I didn't feel comfortable with this word because I never actually heard someone using it (not even in the movies, :)) so I decided to do an abstract illustration.
This is basically how the word rambunctious looks like in my head.

Sunday afternoon

Yesterday afternoon we want for a another walk, me once again looking some nice locations for future photo shoots. I didn't spot anything interesting but the weather and light were absolutely perfect so I took a few shots of fields and woods in the distance:

Location hunting

I went for a walk this afternoon looking for an interesting location near the place where I live for the photo shoot I'm planning. But that didn't turn out like a good idea because it was POURING outside , it was very windy, my umbrella got broken and soon I found myself walking some road ankle deep in slippery mud.
And when I almost feel into this creek,

I got discouraged and wanted to go back home. But then I found this old, abandoned building! It is perfect place for the photo shot I have in mind. Anyway, this is just a snapshot, but I'm totally looking forward to getting back here and taking proper pictures.

Illustration Friday: Similar

This is my drawing for this week's Illustration Friday. When I saw that the word for this week is similar, the first thing that popped into my mind were people who look similar to their pets. So this is an old man and his pet cat :)

Daily doodles: two birds, again

I've finished the birds illustration project I was working on, I made 20 pieces total, but these two are my personal favorites, so I decide to post them.

Today's walk

I took a little break from work to sneak outside, breathe some fresh air and stretch my legs. I went for a short walk and took some pictures.
This is me, trying to look intense :)

And here are two more pics from today's walk. I added some texture layers hoping to make them look like impressionistic paintings, because, well I just love Impressionism, it's probably my favorite art movement, ever.

Daily doodles: more birds!

I'm currently working on a series of illustrations about birds so you'll probably see more of drawings of our feathered friends appearing on my blog during this week.
All this drawing unfortunately keeps me away from my camera and I'm starting to miss photography a lot. So, I'm hoping to finish this birds illustration project quickly to be able to take a day off, and if weather serves me I'll go out and take pictures!
