Illustration Friday: Hatch

lost in woods
When he found himself in a scary part of the woods, Fox knew he needed to hatch up a plan to escape quickly before those black trees turn into black hands and get him!

But don't worry eventually he finds his way home :)

I love the scary wood silhouette trees and the way they dominate little foxy (great composition & palette), and the happy sun's expression is marvellous (it reminds me of UPA animations from the 1950's, have you read "Cartoon Modern" by Amid Amidi... think you'd love it, there's a link to his blogs from the 'interesting sites' list on my blog if you're interested...). I really am bowled over by your paper snowflakes and the 4 seasons cards. I cannot emphasise enough how wonderful I think these are... they are perfect! Terrific work! The desaturated blues and violets of the flakes against your red hair make for really beautiful old kodachrome feel photos, lovely! Also your blog banner looks great with the winter houses. Truley inspirational work :)

(makar si i ranije nacrtala neke odlične crteže).

http://www.flickr.com/photos/29033559@N08/3905744311/

I love the first pic - don't get me wrong they're both great but the first one is just fantastic - something about the simplicity and starkness of colour - not to mention the creepiness of the hands

very very cool

(great blog btw)
