Illustration Friday: Unbalanced

My very first unicorn

I haven't posted anything on my blog for a week so I thought it's a about time to put something here until my blog starts feeling neglected. In lately I've been very busy and haven't had much time for personal projects so I decided to upload one of the private commissions I did recently. It's an illustration of a unicorn, a very first unicorn I made in my life :)
I enjoyed using color combination I usually wouldn't and I'm learning to start liking pink :)

From my (digital) sketchbook

Here are a few drawings from a "work in progress" folder on my computer.

I made these two sketches back in April, scanned them but couldn't find a way to finish (color) them in a satisfying way. They simply refused to cooperate with me. So I decided to post them today as they are, to show them who's in charge :)


I love making patterns. Sometimes before I fall asleep I make some really simple drawings that are later turned into patterns and used as layers in my illustrations.
