Ever since I was animation student, (long time ago) I haven't done a proper character study.These days I just doodle my characters and let them turn out the way the want to be :)
But this little critter gave me hard time when I first sketched it, I couldn't decide what is this animal, some kind of squirrel, a lemming or marmot perhaps?
So, I felt like I needed to do some sort of character study ( which in my case means just some more doodling) to get to know this guy better . After that I realized this is a Vole :)

Cute Vole character... Although I thought it was a some kind of lemming at first :)
